Ceramic processors are the most gold-rich WEEE of all: gold lids, plated pins, ceramic substrates from the 1980s-2000s (Intel 386/486/Pentium Pro, AMD K6, Cyrix…). RECYNEW buys them per piece at the public prices below — updated with precious-metal market rates.

Displayed prices are paid with no registration and no haggling; your personalised rate, up to double depending on your profile and volumes, is unlocked after creating your free account.

How to spot a valuable ceramic processor

Three clues: the gold lid (small gold plate on the front or back), yellow pins (gold plating) and the weight — ceramic is dense and cold to the touch, unlike plastic. A gold Pentium Pro or i486 is worth tens of euros each; when in doubt, send a photo and we identify it for you.

What about plastic processors?

Less rich but bought as well, from Slot 1 to recent sockets:

Plastic processor typeBuyback price / unit
(no account, fast payment)
Black plastic processor€87.50
Green or brown plastic processor€39.00
Plug-in plastic PC processor€32.50
Plastic plug-in server processor€21.45
Plastic and metal processor with PIN€12.62
Plastic and metal processor without PIN€8.50
